new in: wedges

New shoes I got today. Both on sale. First pair was from Payless and they were on sale for $14; but the store had a buy one get one 50% off deal, and my mom bought a pair of shoes, so they ended up being only $7!
The second pair are Rampage wedges from Macy's. Got them for $24 and they were 50%! (:
I love shoes. *O* especially when they're on sale... (and when my mom buys them for me... hehe.) If only shoes grew on trees... I would be able to have all the shoes that I wanted... that's a nice thought... *_____*

My San Francisco trip is this Saturday, and I'm suuuper excited! ^____^ Can't wait.
Hope you all are having a wonderful summer!

Take care!

P.S. Oh yeah. If you haven't noticed, I've changed my layout! (:

4 dollar makeup haul

I went to Rite-Aid with my friends a couple of days ago because we had an early dismissal and wanted to go buy some things. My friends went earlier on in the week and all Wet N' Wild cosmetics were on sale, so we all decided to go get some more things~

I got 3 lipsticks (more lipsticks *O* heh.) and an eyeshadow trio! Everything was 40% off....so cheap!!!!
The eyeshadow trio I got is called "silent treatment." I wanted another palette called "walking on eggshells" but they didn't have anymore in stock! ):
Gorgeous colors; a nice pinky-peach champagne color; a blackened brown with gold and bronze glitter; and a grey-taupe with purple tinge.

The three lipsticks I got were "dark wine" (522A), 'cinnamon' (509A), and 'hot paris pink' (520E).
522A/dark wine was a color I wanted because of Jenn from 'clothesencounters.'  I thought the color looked gorgeous on her and was a nice vampy color for the fall time! I originally planned to get this in the fall since these lipsticks are only 99 cents, but since it was 40% off I decided to take the sale opportunity up and buy it now!
509A/cinnamon. I was debating between two reds and this is the one my friends helped me pick. It's a gorgeous color!
520E/hot paris pink was a color that my friends saw when they went earlier in the week. They thought it would look nice on me, so they got me to buy it! It's a nice pink color; it's said to be dupes of many different mac lipsticks!
Swatches (top to bottom): 522A/dark wine; 509A/cinnamon; 520E/hot paris pink
The grand total was $3.84!!! Crazy cheap!! They're all good quality products -- especially considering how cheap they are!! They're all well-pigmented products! 59 cents for a lipstick is absolutely unbelievable! These products at original pricing are already inexpensive, but with the discount, the price was even better!!

I am a happy camper~ Seriously though...I need to stop with the lipsticks. Only because they were on sale....... The purchases are completely justifiable. ^____~ heh.

I am enjoying my summer so far. Sleeping in, doing nothing...... haha. It's all wonderful. (: Even though I had to go to school today to meet with yearbook/journalism kids, I'm so glad school ended! Hope you all are having a great summer so far!

Take care!

we were meant to fly

Hello hello! (: Again, I haven't posted in a while...but!!!! school ends tomorrow for me! (YAY!!!!!!!!!! ^__^ *throws confetti*) I've aced my boat project, passed AP English with a 'B', and I'm ecstatic for summer to begin! My final grades will be up by tomorrow/thursday....and I'm hoping they'll stay stable because those are the best grades I've had this year!! ~(*__*)~

I told myself that I will have a productive summer this year and I already have things planned for the next two weeks! \(^___^)/ YAY! My mother told me that she booked a trip to San Francisco next weekend with my aunt and me! Great news because I love SF!

Since it was a minimum day today, my friends and I went to target, rite-aid, and pizza hut to get pasta! We all hung out at my friend's house to eat and afterwards, I decided to take some outfit photos! Thanks to my friend Hilary for taking them for me! ~ <3
I like taking pictures in front of fences. hahah! I don't know why... but I think it looks nice~
A post of mine wouldn't be complete if I didn't at least mention the weather... the weather has been quite mild for mid-June in Southern California! The mornings are a bit gloomy and starts to warm up by noon! Not as hot as last year.. but it's probably going to kick up by next week! 'Cause Southern California always have hot summers..... hot hot summers (if anyone knows the song reference lol)....

The shorts I'm wearing were actually my mom's old eggplant colored pants that I cut off! They're super comfortable and easy to wear~
(: I like the color combination of cream with eggplant. (or some of you call it... 'aubergine' lol ~hahah~)

shirt: thrifted; crochet vest: my mom's; shorts: DIY; belt: mother's yet again; wedged sandals: R2

.......and I must include a ridiculously embarrassing photo of myself in my posts. This was the photo my friend took to test out the lighting.... That moment when you're in the process of blinking and the camera captures it... hahah!

Well, the last day of school is tomorrow! I can't believe that I finally made it through junior year. It's been a fairly difficult year academically; however, it went by quickly and I'm finally going to be a senior. I never thought this day would come so soon! It just goes to show you that time does fly by and we all should just enjoy every moment! (That was your daily dose of cheesy-ness! haha)

I hope you all are enjoying your summers! (:
Take care!

separate pieces

I know, I know... I haven't posted in a while. However, most of my big projects are completed now, so I finally got the chance to write up a post. I only have a week and a half of school left!! So excited! Summer is so close. In the past summers, I never really went anywhere much. But I really want to do more this summer - after all it is the summer before my senior year! (: What are you all up to this summer?

Sugarlips Apparel was kind enough to send me this dress, and I received it in the mail the other day. I was so excited to receive the package and open it to see the dress that I got. :3
I love the illusion this dress gives. The "detached" look of the top and bottom gives the illusion that you're wearing a top and a skirt instead of one whole piece. I'm in love with the tangerine outlines on this dress; it gives a beautiful contrast against the gray.

I also adore the back of this dress. I've always liked the look of a split back but never had the confidence to wear one because of the skin I would be exposing (and there's always that.. "what bra should I wear with this" dilemma). However, this dress is able to provide me that split back look without having to worry about actually showing any skin (and I don't have to worry about my bra! win win situation! haha).
This dress is perfect for summer. It's light and airy and super comfortable - great characteristics since I hate wearing uncomfortable clothing in the summer!!

separate pieces dress: c/o sugarlips apparel; split wedge shoes: urban outfitters; necklaces: vintage, forever21; pearl bracelet: DIY; rose ring: vintage

A derp picture of me for good measure. >___> Why am I embarrassing? haha.

I had fun taking these pictures with my friends. (: They're the coolest for helping me out.. or else I would've awkwardly stood in my yard with a tri-pod and self-timed the photos while neighbors drive by and give me even worse awkward stares than the ones they gave us when we took these together. (that's a really long sentence...)

Well, finals are coming up... *cries* Also, my physics boat race is tomorrow; hopefully my boat survives or else I will be taking a nice swim in the pool. Hope you all are enjoying your summer. If you're not out of school like I am, then I wish you best of luck on your finals! Summer break is almost here! ^__^

Take care!

urban outfitters haul

Hello! I apologize for not having up a proper post in a while; School has been keeping me occupied! (after all, it is project season.) I've been staying afterschool to work on my physics boat project and been running around doing things for my club. So the past couple of weeks have been crazy packed with stuff to do. I will be getting around to posting more often though once summer rolls around! (2 1/2 more weeks *cries*)

About a week ago, my friend and I ordered from Urban Outfitters since they were having a sale for memorial day. The package just arrived today, so I decided to show you guys what I got!~ ^______^

I realized that everything I bought was black or gray. haha.
A tshirt that I bought from the guys' section. I don't know about you, but I love men's tshirts. They're so comfy to wear! (was on sale for $9.99)
Also, the London print totally hooked me into buying this shirt. I love the print. Especially because I think the city of London is gorgeous, so I had to get this shirt.

I also purchased some high waisted skinny jeans. I've always wanted a pair, and this pair makes me want to go out and buy more!!! It fits so well, and it's a really soft denim. Love the fit, love the wash, love it~ Definitely will purchase more when I get the chance to. (was on sale for $19.99)

LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST: These black, split wedge sandals. These were the steal of the order. You wouldn't believe how much these were on sale for. These were originally $69, and even I couldn't believe the price that I got them for. ...ready for it? Drum roll please... *drum roll* The sale price on these babies were.... $9.99!!!!!! TAH-DAHH. Isn't that amazing?!?! I think so. What a steal. Can't get over it. Probably one of the best $10 I've ever spent in my entire life. haha. love these shoes.

Well, there's my little haul for you~ Sigh, the next few weeks are going to be filled with project continuation, exams, final exams, presentations, club work, etc! I have my SATs tomorrow morning and my club banquet tomorrow night!

Hope you all are doing well. I know some of you are on (or very close to being on) summer break. Yes, I am jealous of you, but I still hope you're enjoying the beginning of your summer.

Take care!
