new in: h&m and f21

I went on a short shopping trip yesterday with my friend after our senior portraits appointment. These are the few things I got. (: At h&m, I finally got my hands on some acid washed skinnies. I'm so in love. I can't wait to style these when the weather cools down. I also got some beanies~ I was going to get another beanie from f21, but apparently, according to my friend, buying three beanies in one shopping trip is not acceptable. (I would beg to differ.)

At forever 21, I got a colorblocked, knit cardigan and a basic, loose, grey tank top (not shown). Forever 21 had a sale this weekend for an extra 50% off on all sale merchandise, so I got the tank for only $1.49. ^__^ Once we got home, my friends and I all ordered stuff from the f21 website, since the deal was still going on online as well.

changes

I finally got changed to the new blogger layout. Sigh. I never like these interface changes. First with twitter, then facebook...now blogger. I have to get used to this. Anyway... I'm currently juggling a lot of school work, school activities, and responsibilities, so I may not get to post as often as I would like to. College applications are stressin' me out! Any former high school seniors have any tips?!?! There are so many essays to do, especially with scholarship stuff too. Ya know, livin' the poor student life so I have to get some money to pay for college somehow.

All of this is so overwhelming. It really shows how fast time passes. I don't really know how to feel about growing up. So many changes will happen by the end of this year. So many big changes! al;kwfjea;jfea x____x

Something about a button up blouse and skirt that says 'school girl' to me. Or maybe it's the glasses, button up, and skirt combo that is giving me the whole collegiate vibe. I usually don't wear my glasses out, but my eyes were irritated and red from my contacts the previous day. SO GLASSES IT WAS! Why am I telling you this? I don't know. I suppose it's because I've run out of things to talk about. All I usually write is about how swamped I am with school, how blistering hot the weather has been, or some excuse on why I haven't been posting (which usually involves the former topic listed).

Well, I'm just going to talk about school anyway. (Since I don't really do anything else but go to school...) I'm getting along with senior year. It still hasn't hit me with the fact that this is my last year in high school. Maybe it'll hit me when I'm doing college apps. (Which reminds me... I need to start on my personal statement. Gah!) This first semester is going to be hell. Oh my goodness... So many things to do and balance. Work, school work, extra-curriculars, yearbook, etc... >___< AHHHHHHHH. Okay.. see? now I'm just rambling.. I'll stop.

savers haul

The other day, my friend Hilary and I went thrifting at Savers. We planned to go thrifting at the beginning of summer but somehow never went, so we decided that we just had to go before school started.

We spent about 5 hours at Savers..looking through all the racks, piling clothes on our cart, trying on everything we picked out, and deciding what to purchase! Both ended up buying around 10 pieces each, and we found some pretty cool pieces! 

This is all of the stuff I got! I got nine items for around $32!! Hilary and I donated a bag of clothes, and we got 20% off of our entire purchase! It's an incentive...but....a good one. haha ;D

I found a pair of overalls that fit me perfectly!!! I've been wanting a pair of overalls after seeing Amy Pham wearing one in an outfit~

One of the reeeeeally amazing and unique pieces that I found; it's a collared blouse with a trumpet pattern on it!

How great is this red, white, and blue rain jacket?! I guess it could be reminiscent of the French flag...however, I'm going to be patriotic and say that it's a USA jacket. haha. (; 

Overall, it was a very successful thrift day, and I'm definitely going to be visiting this Savers a lot more in the future! It has such great stuff! (:

Today was my first day of school! I came in feeling rather indifferent about everything. I didn't feel excited nor anxious. It was just "meh," and my attitude was like that for a good portion of the day. I'm still not used to having my locker in a different hallway and not used to having senior classes....but maybe I just need some time to get into the swing of things...or maybe it's the laziness kicking in. Whatever it is...I'm just content with everything right now, and I don't really mind that at all. (but yay!!! senior year~~) haha.

hello, september

September came around so quickly this year. I can't believe that school is starting Thursday. It certainly doesn't feel like it is. Nevertheless, I'm quite excited!! Senior year~~ ^__^

Yesterday my friend and I went thrifting, and we both got a good amount of items. I'll show you all what I got in a later post~ ^__^ 

Swimspot was nice enough to send this black tunic for me~ It's meant to be a swim cover-up; however, I think it's fine to be worn as a regular top. I love the sheer lacy material and how comfortable it is. I don't have anything like this in my wardrobe, so I really really love it. (: 

These photos were taken on my phone, which explains the graininess of them...but I like it! It gives a slight film camera effect. Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day! Happy September! :3
