Dressed up all dapper in black and white. Nothing like a business casual outfit to make one feel professional and empowered. Who knew a pair of classic heels and a blazer can make one feel so sophisticated? 

Went to the mall yesterday and roamed around Sephora with my good friend, Hilary. Bought the NARS light reflecting setting powder I've been wanting for a while now, and I found the *~*perfect*~* shade of purple lipstick that I've been wanting.

birthday goodies

My eighteenth birthday was yesterday, and my friends got together and got me some fantastic gifts! (:

I got seasons 1-5 of The Big Bang Theory, and I am so excited. I can't wait to endlessly watch all the episodes during the weekends and waste my days away. They also got my MAC's Plumful and NARS Honolulu Honey lipstick, which I am in love withhhhh~ and another beanie to add to my ever-growing collection of beanies!

THEN THE GREATEST GIFT EVERRRRR... Jeffrey Campbell Tardy Los!!!!!!! I am sooooooo happy about these. ^__^ I'm planning on wearing these to graduation maybe? I can't wait to break these out and wear them!

I just want to say THANK YOU to all of my wonderful friends for giving me these gifts. I am so so thankful and appreciative. Thanks to you girls for making my eighteenth birthday special. (: You all are the greatest. Shout out to my girl Hilary! You got me, I got you. ~(^___^)~

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I just wanted to share the goodies that I got this year. Among the sleep shirts, the incredibly soft fleece pjs that I'm currently wearing, and the lotion sets, my favorite gifts this year are my new jcrew bag, Chanel Chance perfume, and UNIF hellbents!!!!

I got the perfume from my aunt, and it smells just divine; I feel like this gift is almost too extravagant for me! This is definitely a special occasion scent.
The jcrew bag wasn't even something I expected. I received this gift from my former teacher/current yearbook adviser, and it was a complete surprise to get. I'm so thankful. She's the best. (:
AND DUN DUN DUN. My UNIF HELLBENTS. oh. my. goodness. I am so in love. I actually caught these on sale at dollskill.com for 30% off, and I asked my other aunt to order them for me as a gift! I am so happy about these.

And I'm currently contemplating if I should purchase the style stalker dress that I wanted with my xmas money... Major dilemma right now....haha.

However, I had a lovely Christmas; I am so thankful for everything I received. I hope all of you got great gifts as well!

new in: h&m and f21

I went on a short shopping trip yesterday with my friend after our senior portraits appointment. These are the few things I got. (: At h&m, I finally got my hands on some acid washed skinnies. I'm so in love. I can't wait to style these when the weather cools down. I also got some beanies~ I was going to get another beanie from f21, but apparently, according to my friend, buying three beanies in one shopping trip is not acceptable. (I would beg to differ.)

At forever 21, I got a colorblocked, knit cardigan and a basic, loose, grey tank top (not shown). Forever 21 had a sale this weekend for an extra 50% off on all sale merchandise, so I got the tank for only $1.49. ^__^ Once we got home, my friends and I all ordered stuff from the f21 website, since the deal was still going on online as well.

savers haul

The other day, my friend Hilary and I went thrifting at Savers. We planned to go thrifting at the beginning of summer but somehow never went, so we decided that we just had to go before school started.

We spent about 5 hours at Savers..looking through all the racks, piling clothes on our cart, trying on everything we picked out, and deciding what to purchase! Both ended up buying around 10 pieces each, and we found some pretty cool pieces! 

This is all of the stuff I got! I got nine items for around $32!! Hilary and I donated a bag of clothes, and we got 20% off of our entire purchase! It's an incentive...but....a good one. haha ;D

I found a pair of overalls that fit me perfectly!!! I've been wanting a pair of overalls after seeing Amy Pham wearing one in an outfit~

One of the reeeeeally amazing and unique pieces that I found; it's a collared blouse with a trumpet pattern on it!

How great is this red, white, and blue rain jacket?! I guess it could be reminiscent of the French flag...however, I'm going to be patriotic and say that it's a USA jacket. haha. (; 

Overall, it was a very successful thrift day, and I'm definitely going to be visiting this Savers a lot more in the future! It has such great stuff! (:

Today was my first day of school! I came in feeling rather indifferent about everything. I didn't feel excited nor anxious. It was just "meh," and my attitude was like that for a good portion of the day. I'm still not used to having my locker in a different hallway and not used to having senior classes....but maybe I just need some time to get into the swing of things...or maybe it's the laziness kicking in. Whatever it is...I'm just content with everything right now, and I don't really mind that at all. (but yay!!! senior year~~) haha.

new in: romwe

I won a Romwe giveaway from borntobotheryou's blog a couple of weeks ago! I never win giveaways....but somehow I got lucky! So, I was able to win a $100 gift card to spend on cool stuffs from Romwe~ 

This is the most expensive thing I got....but I LOVE it. It's an oversized, acid-washed denim jacket with 'tribal' type of pattern patches. I love this jacket because it has different textures and colors on it: the regular denim acid wash, black acid wash, and a tapestry type of fabric for the 'tribal' patches. A really interesting piece which I'm excited to wear in the colder weather (cause this summer heat is killing me. x__x).

Oh, and the best thing about this jacket....IT HAS REMOVABLE SLEEVES! Super awesome. It allows me to wear it as a denim vest too~

The next thing I got was this colorblocked shirt. I love how each side is a different color!

The last thing I got was a sleeveless blouse. It has a hi-low hemline and one side has a lovely floral pattern!

So, those are the things I got from Romwe! (: I just adore all of these pieces! I can't wait to wear them.

retail therapy

On Saturday, my friend Anna and I went shopping~ It had been a while since we went to the mall together, so it was a really fun trip with all the shopping and catching up. ^__^ These are the few things I picked up on our trip to the mall! I actually got another top, but I accidentally left it in her car.. so I'll include the top in a different post once she has a chance to return it to me! (:

1. All the items I got. (minus a top)
2. Acid-washed denim jacket: I have an obsession for anything denim; denim is just a safe fabric for me, and I love how versatile it is. This is definitely going to be a staple jacket in my wardrobe. I was actually hesitant to get this because I was planning to find one when I go thrifting, but I figured I could DIY the ones I thrift and keep this one as a plain acid-washed jacket. (:
3. Black 'jeggings' and black, acid-washed pencil/bandage skirt: These pants are the most comfortable things ever!!!! They're a thicker material type of legging and mock the look of jeans, so I can wear these like regular pants (I'm not a fan of the 'leggings as pants' look). For the acid-washed skirt, I'm just obsessed with acid-washed and denim right now. (Plus, these were on sale for 5 bucks....) Kinda on a grunge high right now. in love with the whole 90's grunge look~
4. floral bow chunky heel: this pair of shoes was the first thing I got within 10 minutes of stepping into the mall. They were on sale for $16 and I had a $10 gift card~~ I love these so much; they are the most comfortable heels I've ever stepped foot in. *O* LOVE.

4 dollar makeup haul

I went to Rite-Aid with my friends a couple of days ago because we had an early dismissal and wanted to go buy some things. My friends went earlier on in the week and all Wet N' Wild cosmetics were on sale, so we all decided to go get some more things~

I got 3 lipsticks (more lipsticks *O* heh.) and an eyeshadow trio! Everything was 40% off....so cheap!!!!

The eyeshadow trio I got is called "silent treatment." I wanted another palette called "walking on eggshells" but they didn't have anymore in stock! ):

Gorgeous colors; a nice pinky-peach champagne color; a blackened brown with gold and bronze glitter; and a grey-taupe with purple tinge.

The three lipsticks I got were "dark wine" (522A), 'cinnamon' (509A), and 'hot paris pink' (520E).

522A/dark wine was a color I wanted because of Jenn from 'clothesencounters.'  I thought the color looked gorgeous on her and was a nice vampy color for the fall time! I originally planned to get this in the fall since these lipsticks are only 99 cents, but since it was 40% off I decided to take the sale opportunity up and buy it now!

509A/cinnamon. I was debating between two reds and this is the one my friends helped me pick. It's a gorgeous color!

520E/hot paris pink was a color that my friends saw when they went earlier in the week. They thought it would look nice on me, so they got me to buy it! It's a nice pink color; it's said to be dupes of many different mac lipsticks!

Swatches (top to bottom): 522A/dark wine; 509A/cinnamon; 520E/hot paris pink

The grand total was $3.84!!! Crazy cheap!! They're all good quality products -- especially considering how cheap they are!! They're all well-pigmented products! 59 cents for a lipstick is absolutely unbelievable! These products at original pricing are already inexpensive, but with the discount, the price was even better!!

I am a happy camper~ Seriously though...I need to stop with the lipsticks. Only because they were on sale....... The purchases are completely justifiable. ^____~ heh.

I am enjoying my summer so far. Sleeping in, doing nothing...... haha. It's all wonderful. (: Even though I had to go to school today to meet with yearbook/journalism kids, I'm so glad school ended! Hope you all are having a great summer so far!

urban outfitters haul

Hello! I apologize for not having up a proper post in a while; School has been keeping me occupied! (after all, it is project season.) I've been staying afterschool to work on my physics boat project and been running around doing things for my club. So the past couple of weeks have been crazy packed with stuff to do. I will be getting around to posting more often though once summer rolls around! (2 1/2 more weeks *cries*)

About a week ago, my friend and I ordered from Urban Outfitters since they were having a sale for memorial day. The package just arrived today, so I decided to show you guys what I got!~ ^______^

I realized that everything I bought was black or gray. haha. 

A tshirt that I bought from the guys' section. I don't know about you, but I love men's tshirts. They're so comfy to wear! (was on sale for $9.99)

Also, the London print totally hooked me into buying this shirt. I love the print. Especially because I think the city of London is gorgeous, so I had to get this shirt.

I also purchased some high waisted skinny jeans. I've always wanted a pair, and this pair makes me want to go out and buy more!!! It fits so well, and it's a really soft denim. Love the fit, love the wash, love it~ Definitely will purchase more when I get the chance to. (was on sale for $19.99)

LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST: These black, split wedge sandals. These were the steal of the order. You wouldn't believe how much these were on sale for. These were originally $69, and even I couldn't believe the price that I got them for. ...ready for it? Drum roll please... *drum roll* The sale price on these babies were.... $9.99!!!!!! TAH-DAHH. Isn't that amazing?!?! I think so. What a steal. Can't get over it. Probably one of the best $10 I've ever spent in my entire life. haha. love these shoes.

Well, there's my little haul for you~ Sigh, the next few weeks are going to be filled with project continuation, exams, final exams, presentations, club work, etc! I have my SATs tomorrow morning and my club banquet tomorrow night!

Hope you all are doing well. I know some of you are on (or very close to being on) summer break. Yes, I am jealous of you, but I still hope you're enjoying the beginning of your summer.
