The August Effect

This week I picked up my registration forms for school. So, I spent yesterday filling them out and asking my parents to sign a multitude of papers. As this happens every year, I'm glad to say that I only have to do it one more time next year. Filling out registration papers only remind me that school is slowly creeping up around the corner and that my summer is coming to an end. Soon I'll be waking up at 6:30 in the morning instead of sleeping in, being at school instead of being at home on the internet, and staying up late to finish homework instead of watching late night sitcoms.

Also, considering this year will be full of stressful things like SATs and college applications, I'm starting to realize I'm going to have to grow up sooner or later. I'm still excited none-the-less. I have a feeling this year is going to be an interesting one. Gah...which reminds me, I still need to go back-to-school clothes shopping. At least I managed to slowly start that by buying two new shirts this week from Forever21.

Along with clothes, I need a new school bag. My bag from last year is slowly falling apart! I seriously need to hit the mall within the next 3 weeks! I guess I'll leave you with a picture which I found on tumblr that pretty much explains what I'm feeling right now about summer slowly ending.

A Proper Introduction

Hello! This is my face. (sorry for the no makeup-ness..haha.) I'm Theresa and I am the person behind this blog. I'm 16 years old and reside in Southern California - or as you cool kids call it: SoCal. This blog serves as a creative outlet for myself. San Diego Zoo

I went to San Diego Zoo yesterday with my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew. It was definitely a fun experience. I love the zoo! Especially because I get to see my favorite animals in person! The whole day was great, except for the drive to the zoo (we were stuck in traffic and the car ride lasted for 3 hours!!) and my unsettled stomach (from eating fast food in the morning! ): ). But all in all, the day was great!

I took a lot of pictures on the trip, so here are some of my favorite shots from the zoo! Enjoy!

My outfit of the day! I didn't take any outfit photos of myself while I was at the zoo because we were too busy looking at the animals! (blouse: American Eagle; floral shorts: Forever21; fedora hat: Forever21)

Ahhhh!! Look at how cute these sleeping Koalas are! One of my favorite animals. 

Giraffes are another one of my favorite animals! They are gorgeous.

My sister-in-law and I wanted to see the panda exhibit the most! The pandas are on loan from China for research and breeding! They are so cute and cuddly! Another one of my favorites for sure!

Towards the end of the trip, my brother and I went on one of these lifts; It was kinda scary being that high up. Nonetheless, the zoo looked beautiful from up there!

Yesterday I went to the mall and ended up getting quite a few things from Forever21, H&M, and Victoria's Secret. South Coast Plaza just opened up a F21 recently and I must say that I am in love with the store at this mall. Unlike the other F21's I've been to, it's neat, organized, the workers are friendly, and there is sooo much in stock! I found a shirt that I bought a few months back fully stocked in this store, which is really rare to see in F21's. It might because this store just opened, but I hope it stays this neat later on.

I also went and got some new VS Pink undies. I had a coupon and a free panty card, so I decided to get some new underwear! Cute underwear is a must. Heheh.

I absolutely love this top!!! ^^

I'm really into these types of bracelets right now!
